Poonam Shah Interiors ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit poonamshahinteriors.co.uk or make an enquiry, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
1. Who we are
For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is Poonam Shah Interiors, a UK-based interior design practice serving North West London, St Albans and surrounding Hertfordshire areas.

2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you give us directly. This is limited to:
- Enquiry form submissions: your name, email address, project type, and any details you choose to share about your project (location, rooms, timeline, budget range).
- Direct correspondence: if you email or message us directly, we hold the contents of that correspondence and your contact details.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site, so we do not collect browsing behaviour, device fingerprints, or similar technical data beyond what's described in the Cookies section below.

4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of trusted third parties, who process it on our behalf or as part of delivering the site:
- Netlify, Inc. – our website hosting provider, which also processes and stores enquiry form submissions on our behalf (Netlify Forms). Netlify may process data outside the UK/EEA; where it does, it relies on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google Fonts – our website loads typefaces from Google's font service. Loading a font involves your browser making a request to Google's servers, which may process your IP address as part of delivering that file.
- Trades, suppliers and contractors – if you become a client, we may share relevant project details with third parties involved in delivering your project (e.g. contractors, suppliers), only as needed and with your knowledge.
- Where required by law, regulators, or to protect our legal rights.
5. How long we keep your data
Enquiry data from people who don't go on to become clients is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Data relating to active or completed projects is kept for as long as needed to deliver the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years after a project concludes, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

7. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. It's a static website with no cookie banner or tracking scripts running.
The only third-party connection made when you visit is to Google's font servers, to load our typefaces (see Section 4). This is a technical connection to deliver a file, and to the best of our knowledge does not set a cookie in your browser. If we ever add analytics or marketing tools in future that do use cookies, we'll update this policy and add a consent banner in line with PECR and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults commissioning interior design work. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
